In autoclaved aerated concrete, aluminium powder reacts with the alkaline slurry to evolve hydrogen gas — the bubbles that make AAC blocks light, insulating and workable. TALCRETE® grades are engineered for controlled evolution rates and 100% water miscibility.

Milled flake aluminium powder is specially produced for addition to an aqueous alkaline slurry, where it reacts to generate hydrogen gas bubbles during the manufacture of lightweight AAC blocks. The different grades of aluminium powder are processed with specific attention to particle size, bubble formation, and the rate of gas evolution to meet individual customers' requirements.
