Industries we serve

Aluminium Powder is a fine, granular material produced from high-purity (99.7%) electrolytic-grade Aluminium ingots using advanced atomization and milling techniques.

Lightweight and highly reactive, with excellent thermal and electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance and high reflectivity, it is used in varied industries such as Infrastructure, Construction, Mining, Agriculture, Defence, Automotive and Aerospace.

Applications and usageGrades that serve them
AAC concrete blocksConstruction. Gas-forming flake reacts in the alkaline slurry to evolve hydrogen, and the bubbles set the block’s cell structure. TALCRETE® NP, TALCRETE® 80, TALCRETE® 90
ExplosivesMining. Flake powder acts as a sensitiser in slurry explosives, and surface treatment holds that behaviour across varying pH. TALFLAKE® Explo Standard
PyrotechnicsFireworks. Fine, highly reactive particles burn fast and hot, producing the brilliant sparks and flames of a composition. TALFLAKE® Explo Standard
AgrochemicalsGrain storage. Coarse flake reacts with phosphorus in the production of aluminium phosphide, used as a fumigant for stored grains. TALPH® Standard
Paints and coatingsCoatings, textiles and plastics. Leafing paste forms a continuous metallic layer at the surface of the film, giving the bright reflective finish. TALPASTE® M-12L
Welding and thermiteRail and heavy-section repair. The thermite reaction with iron oxide generates heat intense enough to melt steel. Grade recommendation on request
Propellants and rocketrySpace and defence. High-energy combustion makes aluminium powder a fuel component in solid rocket propellants. Grade recommendation on request
Atomised powdersMetallurgy and industry. High-purity atomised powders, granular through to superfine, cut to a customer’s specification. the TALTOM® range
